DEPUTY SHERIFF Oneida County Civil Service Commission is accepting applications for the establishment of an eligibility list for the position of Deputy Sheriff. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States; have a valid WI driver’s license; be in good physical condition; no felony convictions; certification by the State of Wisconsin Training and Standards Board preferred but not required; a high school graduate or equivalent, and have a minimum of 60 fully accredited college level credits (police science credits are preferred). Starting rate of pay for 2019 is $25.18 per hour for 1,950 “base hours” per year. Deputies work a “7-on / 7-off” shift schedule, 10.5 hours per day, resulting in 26 weekends off per year. Court Services Deputies work Monday through Friday with weekends off. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is a “full service”, progressive department with DARE, Drug Enforcement, Detective Bureau, School Liaison, SRT, Crime Prevention, Water and Snowmobile Patrols, Dive Team, COPS and Court / Transport units, including a 200-bed correctional facility. Successful applicants will be required to pass a physical agility test, oral interview, pre-employment drug screen and medical exam, psychological assessment and background check. Casual Site Manager and/or Driver (Marshfield & WI Rapids) Fill-in, part-time position for Casual Nutrition Site Manager Casual Nutrition Driver in WI Rapids and Marshfield. Applicants interested in either or both positions will be considered. 1) Casual Nutrition Driver: Will work varied hours, either 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 pm. OR 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday). Employee assembles Meals on Wheels, transports bulk pans of food from caterer to dining sites, loads packaged meals & milk in catering vehicle, and delivers Meals on Wheels throughout the community & in rural areas of Wood and Marathon Counties. 2) Casual Nutrition Site Manager: Will work varied hours, usually 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. OR 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday). Employee serves meals at the dining site, and coordinates/assembles Meals on Wheels to be delivered to apartments within the building or throughout the community. Clerical Support Oneida County is accepting applications for a Clerical Support position in the Dept. of Social Services. This position works 37.5 hours per week with a starting 2019 rate of $14.67/hr plus benefit package. Duties include, but are not limited to typing dictation, Child Abuse and Neglect reports, court reports, letters, memos, forms, agendas and similar materials from rough draft, transcriber, or edits to electronic documents. Position also assists with contacting clients, making copies, faxing documents, scanning, data entry, filing, processing work orders, and management of incoming/outgoing mail. This position also provides back-up coverage for the reception desk, including managing a multi-line phone system, providing customer service and transferring clients to the appropriate department. Qualified individuals must have a HS degree with course work in clerical skills; experience with dictation and volume typing preferred; knowledge of computers; ability to use transcription software; ability to type 60 wpm; ability to work with the public; ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
