FINANCE TECHNICIAN SHERIFF’S OFFICE Oneida County is accepting applications for the position of Sheriff’s Office Finance Technician. The current hourly rate is $20.55 – $26.42 plus benefits. Position performs a variety of accounting functions relating to Sheriff’s Office financial accounts. The position requires technical record keeping, the ability to prepare financial exhibits and provide precise documentation for audits. Duties include invoice calculation, maintaining records, submitting delinquent accounts to collections, preparing deposits, monitoring accounts, generating and reconciling financial reports, and serving as backup to various clerical positions. Qualified candidates must have two years post-high school education with course work in accounting, bookkeeping, math or secretarial science and one year work experience in secretarial or related OR five years work experience in a professional environment performing accounting, bookkeeping, payroll or related field.
